Le dos de ce modèle comporte un cadre qui permet de glisser le rabat de l'emballage de la pellicule afin de pouvoir conserver les caractéristiques de celle-ci. Au fond de ce cadre est sérigraphié un tableau de correspondance DIN/ASA. Il porte l'indication "Shanghai China licensed by Minolta". En effet, Il s'agit du Minolta X-300 fabriqué sous licence en Chine, après la fin de la carrière de ce modèle au Japon.
On le retrouve également sous d'autres noms : Vivitar V50, Centon DF-300 ou Carena SX-300.
Le socle comporte un connecteur à 3 plots et un crâbot d'entraînement pour l'utilisation des moteurs Minolta.
